Leyla Muedin, MS, RD, CDN

Leyla Muedin received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition and Food Science at Hunter College (City University of New York) and her Master’s Degree in Nutrition and Exercise Sciences at Queens College (CUNY). She was formerly a nutritionist at the Atkins Center for Complementary Medicine where she worked with the late Dr. Robert Atkins, and later as a nutrition consultant for Atkins Nutritionals. Leyla is a clinical nutritionist and educator at the Hoffman Center specializing in the clinical application of diet and supplements for a wide range of medical problems. Leyla lectures regularly at the Hoffman Center as well as professional conferences and corporate wellness programs.

Dr. Leo Galland, M.D. received his education at Harvard University and the New York University School of Medicine and trained in internal medicine at the N.Y.U.-Bellevue Medical Center. He has held faculty positions at New York University, Rockefeller University, the State University of New York and the University of Connecticut. Dr. Galland is the author of dozens of scientific articles and textbook chapters.

An award-winning clinician who is regularly chosen for America’s Top Doctors, Dr. Galland is also the author of three highly acclaimed books: The Fat Resistance DietPower Healing and Superimmunity for Kids. A board-certified internist, he is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Nutrition.

David Perlmutter, MD, FACN, ABIHM drperlmutterphotois a Board-Certified Neurologist and Fellow of the American College of Nutrition. He received his M.D. degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine where he was awarded the Leonard G. Rowntree Research Award for best research by a medical student. After completing residency training in Neurology, also at the University of Miami, Dr. Perlmutter entered private practice in Naples, Florida.

Dr. Perlmutter serves as an Associate Professor at the University of Miami School of Medicine. Dr. Perlmutter is a frequent lecturer at symposia sponsored by such medical institutions as Harvard University, the University of Arizona, Scripps Institute, New York University, and Columbia University. He has contributed extensively to the world medical literature with publications appearing in The Journal of Neurosurgery, The Southern Medical Journal, Journal of Applied Nutrition, and Archives of Neurology. He is the author of many books, including: The Better Brain Book, Raise a Smarter Child By Kindergarten, Power Up Your Brain: The Neuroscience of Enlightenment, and the #1 New York Times Bestseller,Grain Brain – The Surprising Truth About Wheat, Carbs, and Sugar – Your Brain’s Silent Killers, and is recognized internationally as a leader in the field of nutritional influences in neurological disorders.

Dr. Perlmutter has been interviewed on many nationally syndicated radio and television programs including 20/20, Larry King Live, CNN, Fox News, Fox and Friends, The Today Show, Oprah, Dr. Oz, Montel Across America, and The CBS Early Show. He serves as medical advisor to the Dr. Oz Show.
